Another Adventure Added!

Yogi Berra, the king of malapropisms, once said, “No one goes there nowadays; it’s too busy.” As we all know, popularity can be a blessing—and a curse. At Shooting Sportsman we’re juggling the challenges of the sell-out success of our Readers & Writers Adventures. We’re both proud of the trips’ appeal and determined to create as many opportunities as possible for readers to join us. So we’ve added another trip for 2023!

Working alongside our partners at Orvis Adventures, we have planned a hunt at the world-renowned Flying B Ranch, in Kamiah, Idaho. Reid Bryant, Shooting Sportsman Editor at Large, Senior Manager of Orvis Wingshooting Services and host of the “Orvis Hunting & Shooting Podcast,” will lead the hunt, which will take place from December 6 to 10. Flying B is famous not only for its world-class wingshooting, but also for its world-class accommodations, food and surroundings. This is the land that Lewis & Clark once traversed, with stunning scenery in every direction. Guests enjoy an elite level of service and hospitality in a distinctive Western-style lodge, with all of the amenities the discerning traveler expects.

Arriving the first day, our group will settle in with cocktails and dinner, after which we will enjoy three days of no-limit pheasant, chukar, Hun and quail hunting. Flying B offers a wide variety of terrain that accommodates hunters of all physical abilities and boasts extraordinary guides and exceptionally well-trained dogs. The hunter-to-guide ratio is three-to-one. After breakfast the final morning guests will depart for the airport in Lewiston, Idaho.

The cost of the trip is $7,548 and includes airport shuttle, permits, ammunition, lodging, meals and beverages, and bird processing and shipping. The only things not included are taxes and gratuities.
