Matched Pairs Relaunched

Matched Pairs Relaunched | Shooting Sportsman Magazine

For many years Matched Pairs, based in England, has offered a unique reuniting service for pairs or trios of guns long since parted. Set up by Joe Hall, the business built an extensive database of No. 1 and No. 2 sporting guns (like the Boss pair shown) and has been very successful in reuniting guns—some of which have been apart for more than a century. Just to hear of a pair brought back together as they were when they originally left the maker is fascinating and makes one wonder about their stories while they were apart.

This past March Adam Morton of the Morton Sporting Agency bought the business from Joe Hall and, partnered with Ash Shaw of Fine Sporting Accessories, intends to revamp the business and create a presence on social media. With plans to relaunch the reuniting service, the intent is to make it easier for customers to register pairs, which should lead to more results.

The database is comprehensive, and it is easy to register a gun being sought or to search for a gun missing from a pair or trio. For more information, visit matchedpairs.com.
