Water Session

by Shooting Sportsman Magazine

Taken on Lake Hopatcong, in NJ. I was heading out to do some early morning water work with Don Gardner, who is the founder of Waterloo Gun Dogs. Waterloo Gun Dogs is a group of sporting-dog enthusiasts who enjoy working and training their gundogs. The dog at my feet is Griffonpoint O’ Griswold (“Gris”) and the dog standing is Griffonpoint BB’ Philson (“Phil”). Both of the dogs are Wirehaired Pointing Griffons and are equally capable in the uplands and the waterfowl blind. Don is pictured below with his American Water Spaniel, Otter, and Irish Lab, Copper.
