THE SIGNATURE LODGE BY CHEYENNE RIDGE OUTFITTERS
Rooster! Rooster!" Each fall the cry echoes in the fields around The Signature Lodge—accompanied by the cackle of pheasants and the sound of gunfire. Bird season in South Dakota means ringnecks, and The Signature Lodge offers some of the best hunting available. Intensive management on thousands of acres has produced excellent habitat: native grasslands, shelterbelts and multiple food plots. Hunters walk fields with experienced guides and world-class flushing dogs—the drive-and-block style of hunting resulting in shots at birds streaming from cover. At day’s end guests return to a sprawling lodge overlooking Lake Oahe where they enjoy private rooms, a spa, a game room and even a cigar and cognac bar. Chef-prepared meals are five-star and include the finest locally raised beef. Superior service and hospitality are hallmarks of this family owned and operated lodge, and guests who appreciate the amenities also often visit the family’s Nebraska waterfowl operation: The North Platte Outpost. It is for all of these reasons and more that hunters flock to The Signature Lodge—and why they all leave with something to crow about.
