Photos from Our Travels

The Shooting Sportsman crew has returned to Maine after four days exhibiting at the Safari Club International Convention, in Las Vegas. This marks the end of a busy show season for us.

Every year the SCI show gathers the world’s best guns and gunmakers as well as hunting guides and lodges in one place—hopefully to connect with customers. We man our booth to talk about the magazine and walk miles of aisles to see the show.

SCI is an opportunity to spend time with people we might run into just once a year, and it’s definitely the place to see unusual and unique guns new and old. Case in point: the one-of-a-kind Beretta 490 Serpentina, shown here being held by Beretta Fine Guns Manager Ian Harrison. It is a sidelever opener built from a 486 Parallelo with a thoroughly sculpted action and extraordinary high-polish finishes.

We’ll have more on the Serpentina soon. For now you can see more photos from SCI and keep up with our travels and other thoughts on Instagram.
