German premium gunmaker Krieghoff has teamed up with French clothier Club Interchasse to bring the latter’s offerings to shooters and hunters in the US.
For both men and women, Krieghoff is offering a number of Club Interchasse items in its online store. Customers can browse insulated and uninsulated hunting vests, multiple cotton polo shirts with suede-like shoulder patches, a quarter-zip wool-cotton-blend sweater, and an insulated jacket in one of two color combinations.
Alex Diehl, Krieghoff International president and CEO, gave me a sneak peek of the clothing during a recent trip to South Dakota. “We find the best hunting and shooting clothes to complement our guns,” Diehl said. “I was impressed when I saw Club Interchasse’s line, and I immediately began working to bring it to the United States. The reactions and reviews have been extremely positive.”
Once back home in New York, I donned the Charles jacket (shown) over the course of several weeks in all kinds of weather. It is not only waterproof and light, but also surprisingly warm. The cowhide-leather collar and trim give it an extra dose of class. All seams are taped, and there is a laminated and breathable membrane ensuring a reasonable amount of waterproofing. Additional features include generously sized lower pockets that will hold a couple of boxes of shells, handwarmer pockets and a rear game pouch. There also are three interior pockets. The Charles is a well-designed, versatile and attractive jacket for the attractive price of $349.
Sizing for all Club Interchasse clothing is European, so consider a size larger than you typically would. For more information, visit krieghoff.com.
