Pictured here are my two Wirehaired Pointing Griffons: Bock and Dunkel. Bock unfortunately passed away just days after I took this photo of the two overlooking the valley behind our house. Bock was a fantastic bird dog and home companion. He hunted extreme-cold-weather river waterfowl and all types of upland birds. He was an excellent icy-river retriever and pointer. The whole family misses Mr. Bock. Dunkel is the new guy for us, and in his first year has already showed great pointing ability and waterfowl retrieving. Dunkel definitely took to heart the "secrets" Bock shared with him last December. It is uncanny how much the two are alike.
