The Cole Tariff Busters

First COVID causes supply-chain issues, then inflation decides to take a whopping leap and the cost of metals vaults skyward. The list of factors causing the prices of shotguns and shooting gear to rise precipitously just keeps growing. And just when it seems like it can’t get worse, along come the recently imposed tariffs. Shooters simply can’t catch a break. However, although they are few and far between, there actually are opportunities to dodge price hikes for those on the look out for good deals; and one of the best deals going is the tariff-busting pricing that Cole Guns is currently offering on premium Italian shotguns. More specifically, Cole (America’s number-one Beretta Premium Dealer) is offering Beretta SL3s and DT11s and its entire Zoli line at pre-tariff prices. Both field and clays guns are available in a broad array of gauges, barrel lengths, engraving patterns and stock options. The only catch is that pre-tariff prices apply only while supplies last. One can browse said supplies by visiting one of Cole’s three shops (in San Antonio, TX; Naples, FL; and Harpswell, ME) or by going to colegun.com. Below is a preview of what you will find.

Beretta SL3s

No company in the world has done a better job of merging the best modern, state-of-the-art gunmaiing technology with traditional hands-on craftsmanship than Beretta, and there is no better showcasing of this mastery than the SL3. Made in 12, 20 and 28 gauge as well as .410, SL# field and clays models feature an ultra-strong locking system, a fabulous inertia-trigger mechanism and Steelium alloy barrel metal that not only ensures the gun will last for generations, but also that it will continue to function at peak performance for future shooters.

Cole’s current SL3 inventory includes 28-gauge field guns with deep scroll engraving, 12-gauge Sporting models with headed stock blanks ready for custom carving, and everything in between.

DT11s

The DT11 is Beretta's top-of-the-line clays gun and, with the model having won more competition medals than any other shotgun, there’s a strong argument that it is the best target gun every manufactured. With an action that features a bombproof crossbolt locking system, Steelium barrels with 480mm forcing cones (resulting in reduced recoil, decreased muzzle rise and perfect shot patterns) and a legendary drop-out trigger system, it’s easy to understand why the DT11 reigns supreme.

From a Trap FC Sporting model with 30" barrels, fixed Improved Modified & Modified chokes and a 10m flat vent rib to a SPorting model with 32" barrels, a 10mm-to-8mm tapered rib and 5 extended chokes, Cole offers a wide array of DT11 options.

Zolis

From great actions featuring Boss-style locking mechanisms to silver-soldered barrels renowkned for their ability to soften recoil and maximize ballistic performance, there are many reasons Zoli shotguns have long been considered some of the best to come out of Italy. Zoli’s commitment to innovation and highest-quality production standards result in excellent guns for both field and competitve uses. (Speaking of competitivev uses, it’s worth noting that Zolis have won a fair share opf championship medals too.)

Cole’s selection of Zolis includes Z-Sports, Z-Expeditions, Z-Bellas and Z-Extras, covering just about every type of hunting and clays discipline. A 12-gauge Z-Bella Silver Psorting with 32" barrels a tappered rib and an adjustable comb and a Cole Exclusive 20-gauge Z-Expedition with 29.5" barrels, 3" chambers and a solid Churchhill top rib are just a couple of examples of the considereable number of Zolis available.

The Big Bonus

While all of the aforementioned offer opportunities to save big on premium-gun purchases, it’s also important to note that Cole Gun is one of the world’s best gunsmithing and service centers for fine shotguns. This is a big bonus for those who prefer having their guns serviced by the same folks they bought them from and an even bigger bonus for those who would like to have alterations (such as stock adjustments) made to their guns prior to having them delivered.
