The property’s 12,340 acres consist of wheatgrass fields, river bottoms, majestic buttes and classic high-desert landscape. Early September through March is the season when lodge guides and their German shorthaired pointers take guests on no-limit hunts for pheasants and chukars.

The luxurious hunting lodge, with its laid-back Western atmosphere and decor, spans 12,000 square feet and offers 17 king-size beds and private baths. At its founding, Castle Valley Outdoors initially hosted only corporate retreats, but it quickly developed into a wingshooting destination for private groups of serious upland hunters. The biggest non-shooting uses of the lodge are off-season weddings and family reunions.

Castle Valley is situated near several incredible recreation areas—including Arches, Bryce Canyon and Zion national parks; Goblin Valley State Park and the San Rafael Swell Recreation Area—and the Castle Valley staff can arrange ATV tours upon request. Millsite Golf Course is also just a few miles away, and Castle Valley entertains guests with its own vast array of yard games, clays shooting and fly-fishing.
