Pine Creek Penny moves Upstairs
Hard Memorial Day this year our incredible Gordon Setter Grouse Dog Penny passed away about noon time on Memorial day. I was with her when she took her last breath, and she went peacefully in her sleep. This has been a very hard 2 year period in the Pine Creek Grouse Dog Trainer's home kennel, loosing 4 fantastic dogs in less than 2 years. The end of an era for sure here, our new Clearcut Gordon pup will not have an incredible big dog to learn from, I waited way too long to purchase her. Starting all over again will be a big change, especially at my age. As we say goodbye to an incredible Grouse dog who provided memories that will last a life time, we know she is with my Grandfather and Father in God's never ending Grouse woods setting God's favorite birds for him forever.
Goodbye Penny I will remember you always.

Pine Creek Penny, a world class Grouse Dog, moves up stairs at 16 years old.
Crazy Horse RVN,
Thanks buddy you can bet I will never forget her. I have some incredible memories of Grouse walked to point and fantastic retrieves of the Grouse I shot for her. Her time hunting with Sampson my SM & Daisy my Ryman Setter as mixed doubles, I actually felt sorry for the Grouse, Penny was that talented. As Eric Miller our PGC 's foremost Biologist once said about Penny, "you read about Grouse Dogs in books like Penny, you hardly ever get to actually hunt with one of them." Penny had just walked a Grouse to set point for him, without spooking the bird. Eric gunned the bird, Penny retrieved it to hand for him.

Very few things effect me like my Grouse Dogs, loosing them effects me drastically. Memories to last a life time.
Penny's eyes were the window to her soul, I will see them till the day I join her once again, on God's magic Grouse mountain.
